People are trying to pause an uproar on this with “well, they DID get a warrant,” but afaik warrants don’t have to be gotten from a random judge. MN has its own MAGA chuds- who signed the warrant, and when were they appointed? Were they appointed specifically to facilitate this “investigation”?

This story makes it sound like the major problem is that the Trump Admin did this w/in 60 days of an election. Yes, that's a real abuse. But the major problem is they're basically threatening to denaturalize an opposition legislator, based on racist insinuations. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...
