Tom Baker as the fourth Doctor Who,with a caption quoting a line from an episode of the show :"The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views...which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering."

Well if you count as a Doctor Who movie and not a spin off then do you also count K9 and Company? The Autons trilogy? That one Ozone movie?

America will never know if he or has died or dying. How he died, where he died. Trump’s doctor who looked after Trumps ear bullet wound and Lyndsey Graham’s cause of death ( coincidence) will do autopsy. His will, will say cremation upon death. You will never see him dead or alive. 🤷

*and Sharma Angel-Walfall for The Well. Forgot her, OK so that's five, three of whom had to get co-write credits exclusively. To be fair the way RTD babbled on about the episode you'd think it was all him, why not let her have solo credit? Matt Jones got it for Satan Pit.

Even now, whilst the number of female writers have more than doubled since 2018, POC are still woefully underrepresented, with only Blackman, Vinay Patel, Charlene James and Inua Ellams, only two of which got solo credit. Unless anyone is mixed I'm unaware of.

CBeebies Doctor Who Animation “Inspired By” the Whoniverse, So Will the Doctor Even Be In It?

The BBC has released its Annual Report on its own successes and perhaps failings over the last year, and it includes an interesting caveat about the upcoming CBeebies Doctor Who animation. The series will be “inspired by the Whoniverse”, so might not actually feature the Doctor at all. The BBC’s Annual Report states: “Doctor Who spin-off series The War Between the Land and the Sea, made by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios, starring Russell Tovey, was one of the BBC’s biggest new drama launches of the year, and the BBC has commissioned a preschool animation series for CBeebies, inspired by the Whoniverse, as the Disney+ partnership draws to a close. A dedicated fan exhibition, Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder: Where Science Meets Fiction, returned to the Comic-Con Museum in San Diego in early 2026 for the second year running.” The animation was put out to tender, meaning companies could pitch for the chance to produce it — just, as it turns out, is the case with Doctor Who proper this year. This process was won by Blue Zoo, with a commission of 52 episodes across two seasons. Most of us presumed the Doctor would have some sort of presence in the animation, but that might not be the case after all. That would negate the need to focus on a particular incarnation of the Time Lord at least. Adam Shaw, co-founder of Blue Zoo Animation Studio, previously said: “This year, we celebrated 25 years of Blue Zoo so it’s an extra special honour to be given the chance to bring such a much-loved classic and a true British icon to a whole new generation of young viewers. Doctor Who means so much to so many people, and we don’t take that lightly at all. Reimagining something this legendary for a preschool audience is a brilliant creative challenge, and one we’re incredibly excited to dive into.” So might this animation instead focus on one of the Doctor’s companions or foes? Clara’s journeys through space and time? An Adipose series? Daleks for under threes? Martha Jones being awesome? The Silence scaring the living daylights out of preschoolers? We don’t have too long to wait. The first season is set to air next year. Like this: Like Loading...

Yes I am absolutely the type of Doctor Who fan who will genuinely tell people the best historical story is a completely missing serial from season 4 that only has a handful of production photographs surviving as a visual record.

I love classic DW but the Sensorites had to be the weakest adversaries of the entire Doctor Who franchise; they were allergic to sound, light, etc. You gotta love classic DW.😂

I didn't mind Morbius it's probably 6/10 at best. The final fight is very CGI heavy, but that's to be expected. Matt Smith was excellent. Leto is a terrible person but his performance was ok

Wikipedia says he was in a film last year playing a character called Jim Smith, in which I can only imagine he had a lot of scenes where he wrote really good and insightful stuff about Doctor Who then outrageously defamed the quality of Star Trek: Deep Space 9

Doctor Who at night (actually this morning): Colony in Space 1. Jo seems less clued up about the Tardis than she did in The Claws of Axos. She's seen it dematerialise and rematerialise, so what did she think was happening? She seems to have accepted the Master travels in time and space... 1/5

...but why not the Doctor? Her fear at being on a new world and of not being able to return home echoes Ian and Barbara's reactions in The Cave of Skulls more than any other first Tardis journey. Likewise her discovery of the alien flower follows the precedent of Susan's petrified flower... 2/5

Firmly into the companion teela era of #doctorwho and the writers really are leaning into making the doctor gaslight and speak dismissively towards her. At least in the newer audio productions her character gets to wear clothes of her choice, and be treated as a whole person
