Sadly there's no substitutes that come half as close to it ( for what I need at least) things like marmoset might be ok if it's on the less complicated/realism end of the scale

might be for the sake of not breaking games! iirc Dolphin tries to emulate realistic disc read speeds by default because there’s a few titles that actually break if loads are too fast

FWIW their sizing seems to be surprisingly forgiving. I bought these in S which is my usual size and they fit me okay
