Clive Rosfield, the main protagonist of Final Fantasy XVI (2023) Clive was a prince who was forced to literally be a slave soldier and was viewed countless of times as a monster, yet he decided to spend the rest of his life fighting so that people can die on their own terms.
Terra Branford, the main protagonist of Final Fantasy VI (1994) Terra got turned into a mindless, amnesiac, robot-like victim and was weaponized for her natural and genetic magic. Yet her ultimate victory wasn’t defeating someone like Kefka or the likes of nihilism, it was finding the capacity to love, and choosing to maternally protect a generation of children.
Ramza Beoulve, the main protagonist of Final Fantasy Tactics (1997/1998) In a vast, historical world like Ivalice, Ramza was a highborn who grew up in a privileged, systemic noble environment but ended up throwing it all away. He personally chose to be branded a heretic and was subsequently erased from history just so he could do what he believed was genuinely right.

Eevee throws himself forward to ram against the tree, making the leaves shake. In response, a strangely colored bird drops from the branches to land in the clearing near them. The warm orange of its head extends down to its wings, and there are little flecks in its tailfeathers that don't look right. It seems much older than a fletchling should be, and watches Clive with open warmth. Joshua gasps, then scrambles forward to grab Clive's PokéDex out of his bag. The device turns on quickly, though the camera takes a longer time than usual to register the shape of the bird. "Fletchling," he reads. "The Tiny Robin pokémon. When it's excited, its temperature can double!" After a moment, Joshua glances back and forth between the picture in the PokéDex and the little bird standing before him. "Is it one of those variants?" Clive reaches into his bag to pull out a small orb, tossing it up into the air and easily catching it. "It caught my eye, at least. I thought that, so long as I was leaving, you might like having a friend. Joshua, I'm going to teach you how to catch a pokémon!"

今までゲームやACを見てきてCTZAは確定してると思っているからリバで今さらこれ見せられてもと😅夫はFF10が一番好きでティユウ大好きだからクラジルもそうだけどわかりやすいほうがいいのかもです。 FFにそこまで恋愛をもとめてないというか。すっきり物語を終わらせてほしいとは言ってますね。 だから16もどうなったんだよ！最後駆け足すぎ！そこがどうしたのかを詳しく知りたいんだよ！と文句言ってました😂

Nono’s is open an hour after their evening mealtime, when the school-age Ghosts have taken to diligently playing their roles and the older ones are at liberty until their next missions. The unsanctioned “bar” is little more than a repurposed office in the lowest level of their base, but the sparsely furnished and dimly lit space is serviceable. Balthier is already at work tending it, reaching for a bottle on a high shelf as Clive Rosfield and Kain Highwind come through the door. “There’s supposed to be a password before entering,” Balthier tosses over his shoulder toward the men. He leaves the bottle where it is and scans the rest of the space for sign of his partner in this endeavor, hands on his hips as he sighs out, “Though it seems my doorman has yet to arrive for his duties.” “Firion? He and our Leader have retired early. There was talk of an early mission tomorrow,” Kain explains as he takes a seat, unprompted. The dragoon is dressed down for the evening in a clean set of clothes normally worn for his indoor combat training, but a dark blue bandana has taken the place of his usual brimmed hat and Balthier notes the lack of shadow make the man’s eyes appear more azure than cobalt. Clive, entering in his usual streetwear, hasn’t taken another step. He gives their host a wry smile and clears his throat. “Better a hare unseen-,” he says in an even tone, waiting. Balthier raises a brow at the dark haired man and after a beat, motions warmly for him to take a seat, “Than a rat in a trap.” He finishes the phrase with a smile that implies more amusement than appreciation for the theatrics. He shifts closer to Clive’s seat and greets him properly. “Welcome, friend. Anything you’re in the mood for?” He’ll get to Kain in due time.
