Lbh is back at the bamboo house, plating up a hot and steaming batch of dumplings for his Shizun. As he hums happily, he hears the kitchen door open- rather forcefully. The moment he turns and locks eyes on Sqq he knows already he's in trouble. And Lbh is intelligent enough to know exactly why.
Finally looking up, Sqh snorts a little, "that's actually rich, considering he was in my office this morning demanding I tell him what chapter the main characters finally kiss." Sqq's mouth presses into a thin line and the tension in the air is palpable. Sqh regrets opening his mouth. Sqq leaves.
Not too much later Sqq visits Sqh, hoping to maybe get the manuscript for the next novel as an additional way to make up for his evil misdeeds towards Lbh. Embarrassed, he explains the situation to Sqh, who is half paying attention while scribbling something down on a pad of paper.
Sqq tries to stammer out an excuse as well, but that also is too late. Lbh fires up the crocodile tears and lets Sqq have it. He whines with agony and despair that Sqq would dare do this to his beloved. It takes a great many hugs, kisses, and little back rubs to be forgiven for his transgression.
He only realizes he's not alone when he hears a soft gasp from behind him and whirls around to see Lbh standing there with a shocked and hurt expression. Sqq tries to hide the book behind his back, but it's too late. Lbh has seen the betrayal. The crime. The disrespect of sacred bonding time.
However, when Sqq finds himself home before Lbh the next afternoon, he can't resist the temptation to peak ahead. It's been bugging him all day! He /has/ to know how the current plot point will be resolved when it seems like there's no way it can be wrapped up neatly by the end of this section!
That scene in TLJ could have been beautiful if the force wasn’t already democratized(the skywalkers are really the only particularly special family of force users we know of) and people didn’t treat it like it was some novel idea.
They deserve to have unkind things said about them, lbh. (But thank you for the thread you did say too. There’s been an uptick of that attitude again recently and it’s something people so need to hear.)
The final episode of season 2. The Last Jedi's depicition of Luke soured me on Star Wars to the point I stopped buying any merch at all. Mando brought me back slowly but seeing the "real" Luke back on screen had me very excited. No, I do not want to discuss TLJ. Beautifully shot piece of dreck.

this is my "for an ML often likened to a dog, binghe doesn't get collared enough" propaganda
(tldr binghe cracks the cradle seal so sqq gets him a spirit locking collar)
