Magic Music Visuals is 80 bucks, has built in GLSL and ISF support so you can lean on pre-made shaders, and is node-based so you can easily fiddle with it as much or as little as you'd like.
Just don't expect any major updates, the old heads in the forums know what they're talking about at least.
