Ok, I'm starting to feel happy about this. An edge sum of 2 can get you started with straightforward subtraction. But then my construction process leaves some room for small cycles that require an extra step. Here's another one with a target sum of 10. -- #iTeachMath #puzzle #gamedev
Partially solved HexSum Detective mode (in dev) board. Several colored blocks have all their hexes filled with values, while others remain empty (unsolved). There are smaller values straddling some edges indicating the total sum among the adjacent hexes. This is for the HexSum game at hexsumgame.com

I'm testing out board generation for this mode. I'm liking how this plays out. I was able to fill all but 7 hexes through simple subtraction. But now, there is a small triangular system to solve! Can you do it? Rules in the QP Let me know if you like this! -- #iTeachMath #MathsToday #gamedev
