I was going to criticize Nintendo for their Eurasian bias for city tracks in Mario Kart Tour/8 but then I remembered that finding good cities for the game in Middle East/Africa (regions I felt were completely ignored) is basically impossible

Genuinely kind of in awe with what the Zelda & Mario teams at Nintendo are able to accomplish with the hardware they make. Donkey Kong Bonanza is a pretty phenomenal accomplishment.

Y'know, why doesn't Nintendo make #Mario chocolate coins? With different flavors for each coin like the standard gold coins would be milk chocolate, red coins would be cherry dark chocolate and blue coins could be a blueberry white chocolate. It would be so fun during Hanukkah

May or may not own a massive steel Nintendo display. That, ALLEGEDLY, would be over 6” tall. Like the old ones at game retail stores people could come and play. And, ALLEGEDLY, IF I did own one, it MAY OR MAY NOT, have fallen off the dolly and only me and my shoulder/neck.

I think people underestimate how much Nintendo will follow the Switch 1 playbook here.
Launchin with MK and then releasing a straight up banger next month is a statement that many people underestimate.
With Metroid Prime 4 around the corner, I think they will announce a few more games to come.

Just finished up Donkey Kong Bananza it is an amazing return to Donkey Kong as a platformer and easily one of Nintendo’s best Switch 2 exclusives this year so far! Definitely gonna go for 100% and it’s up there among my GOTY titles!! #DonkeyKongBananza #DK

Of course it isn’t. Japanese labor laws didn’t prevent Ouka Studios, Tango Gameworks, and many other game companies from being gutted. It’s an (easily disproven) narrative peddled by certain contingents to discredit Iwata and Nintendo management.

I don't think Japanese labor law really is a full explanation for Nintendo's willingness to retain talent over the long term and maintain generational institutional knowledge, because clearly French labor law hasn't done the same for Ubisoft
