Possibly historic sighting of a pod of cuvier's beaked whales in Monterey Bay today, not only is it rare to find these but finding that many in this region may never have happened before.
These whales dive longer and deeper than sperm whales, up to nearly 10,000 ft deep for over 3 hours!! 🦑
