So true. My general take is that Wheel of Time was good, but probably too much. I did all of A Song of Ice and Fire and Wheel of Time in 2014. If I tried to read all of those now it would probably take me five years. I apparently read Memory of Light in ten days and that just boggles my mind now.

Trying to disparage a reading on a character because it doesn't talk about the Japanese folk roots of the character also misses the fact that the other main writer of ER is GRRM. While I haven't read his books SA plays a part in them so why can't people read the story of the Dung Eater in two ways.

Given how slowly season one of Game of Thrones started, I gave A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms a few episodes before abandoning...
Episodes 1–3… bored me to death 😴. Finally picked up last night.
Still not my favorite GOT spinoff, but it’ll do until House of the Dragon S2. Rhaena needs her dragon 🐉

Didnt do House of the Dragon, but am enjoying the new one. Shorter episodes and some humour makes it, I think.
